History of Mor Furniture for Less

Mor Furniture for Less started in 1977 as a small waterbed store in San Diego, California. At the time, waterbeds were the craze, and the company quickly grew into the leading waterbed retailer in San Diego County.

In 1983 the company opened locations in Spokane, Washington, followed by Portland, Oregon in 1984. By 1987, there were stores located throughout San Diego, Portland, Spokane, and Seattle, Washington.

Throughout the 1990’s, Mor Furniture for Less was known as “Superstores of America” while providing quality bedroom furniture to cities in Washington, Oregon, and California, including Bakersfield.

In 2000, Superstores of America became Mor Furniture for Less with locations in Reno, Nevada, Boise, Idaho and Phoenix, Arizona and we are still expanding today.

In the past 18 months, six additional Mor Furniture for Less stores have opened in new locations. We are now the largest bedroom, living room and dining room furniture retailer on the West Coast with locations in 7 states and 20 cities:
