SB 657 - California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
On January 1, 2012 the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657) became effective in the State of California.
The Act seeks the elimination of slavery and human trafficking from product supply chains.
Mor Furniture For Less, Inc. mandates that all suppliers maintain the highest level of labor relations to support our commitment to corporate social responsibility.
We are in the process of validating that all suppliers are in compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct, which looks to eliminate human trafficking and slavery within our supply chain.
The validation process includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Certification of Supplier Code of Conduct
- On-site inspections of factory conditions and work force status.
- Industry information disseminated from other retailers operating with the same factories.
Any supplier found to be in violation of our Supplier Code of Conduct will be given an opportunity to correct the violation. In the event any supplier is unable to correct the violation, they may be eliminated from our supply chain.
At this time, we have no reason to believe that any of our suppliers participate in any slavery and/or human trafficking.
