Mor Gives Back to the Community
Giving the opportunity to rise in our local communities through better sleep and comfort for all.
Mor Furniture for Less knows the power of sleep. That's why we're committed to giving everyone the opportunity to rise together in our local communities. We're donating mattresses each year in an effort to help those in need of comfort and a fresh start. Through community organizations such as shelters, summer camps for under privileged children, women's homes, and beyond, we make a difference in the lives of people as they prepare to take on the challenges of the day ahead.

Bridge Disability Ministries
We believe that true accessibility is first and foremost an inside job.
Ramps and lifts are wonderful tools, but they can only allow a person to enter the building. Allowing a person with a disability to enter the community requires the community itself to become accessible, member-by-member. That’s why Bridge works to create communities where every individual has their gifts acknowledged alongside their challenges and provided with, not just the ability to be present, but the opportunity to contribute to community life.
Do Good Multnomah
Gilbert Dominguez (via Larkspur Christian Church)
Through the Larkspur Christian Church ministry, a community member Gilbert Dominguez was seeking help on mattress donations. Currently in the middle of a divorce in which he is leaving the house and furniture to his wife to accommodate her needs and that of his children. As he prepares his new life in getting a home in order for this children and sick mother, he turns to the parish for spiritual guidance and help from the community.
Dominguez works hard to provide for his children and hopes to provide for them a good life. He wishes to, “Show my kids that sometimes hard work and integrity provides a good return. That being good to those around you helps good things come your way.”
The Grandparents Connection
The Grandparents and Care Givers whom are raising their family members children due to displacements/absent parent or parents for various reasons.
Some of the biological parents are incarcerated, drug abusers, lost to the system, or have a serious illness. The children are brought to the grandparents homes with little to no warning. They come only with the clothes on their back, no diapers, formula, monetary, or important documents such as birth certificates, immunization, or letters of release to the grandparent or care giver.
These limited factors from the very beginning puts an undue stress on the receiver.
THIS IS OUR PETITION FOR THE GRANDCHILDREN: WE ARE ASKING TO HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS GRANTED TO US AS IS GIVEN TO FOSTER PARENTS WHO ARE CARING FOR CHILDREN WITHIN THE SYSTEM JUST LIKE OURS! WE ARE ASKING FOR FAVOR WITH HOUSING AS NEEDED. WE ARE ASKING FOR MONETARY SUPPORT. WE ARE ASKING FOR IMMEDIATE RESPITE CARE WE ARE ASKING FOR ACTIVITY PASSES FOR OUR CHILDREN SUCH AS PRIORITY YMCA MEMBERSHIP ETC. WE ARE ASKING FOR GOVERNMENT HELP AND SUPPORT. State of the Heart Recovery
Created to Serve & Heal
State of the Heart Recovery Center (SHRC) is a non-profit, all-inclusive treatment center for substance abuse (including opioid addiction). We are unique in that our holistic approach addresses all aspects of an individual’s emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Our programs incorporate traditional evidence-based treatments (e.g., group therapy and individual counseling), cutting-edge technology (e.g., 24/7 outreach support through mobile apps with integrated biometric feedback), and self-care therapies (e.g., massage and group fitness).
In addition with helping clients navigate recovery, we also lay the groundwork for successful reintegration into a sober lifestyle. Through our Comprehensive Community Support Services, our certified peer support workers (CPSW’s) work with individual clients to provide guidance and support with employment, education, housing, nutrition, and other necessary life skills. We ensure our clients have the tools to succeed and to become a member of our community.
Tommy's Legacy Inc.
Our ministry is made up of three parts: a men’s home, women’s home, and a church home. All three share the goal of providing people a safe and healthy place to grow their relationships with God and each other.
Our campus includes a completely remodeled housing facility where up to 30 men and 20 women can experience Christian living. Our programs are designed for people who want freedom from addictions and destructive lifestyles and to seek the restoration of their families. We do this through hard work, learning about God’s love, and Christian mentoring.
Touch 1 Life
Our primary mission is simple: To give refugee kids and their families a little bit of joy and hope in their new lives.
Touch 1 Life was established in the Spring of 2022, shortly after the war broke out in Ukraine. Our initial effort was working with local organizations to send humanitarian aid to the people fleeing their homes, often with nothing more than a single suitcase. As refugees began arriving in the US however, we shifted our focus more toward helping these families access the essentials they need to restart their lives here in Oregon and SW Washington. Our organization has helped many families, connecting them with generous donors willing to provide things like: beds to sleep on, couches and dining tables on which to gather and much more. In particular though, Touch 1 Life is focused on helping refugee children.
Warrior Foundation Freedom Station
The Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station aims to be the leading force in assisting, honoring and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. We are committed to supporting our warriors in a variety of ways, providing quality-of-life items and numerous support services designed to assist them and their families during recovery.
The Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station assists four main groups of warriors: the seriously injured just returning home from war; those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injury; those undergoing physical or occupational therapy, and warriors who have been medically retired and remain in our community. To serve this last group in particular, Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station pioneered a new approach and opened Freedom Station - a unique recovery transition center and housing facility that provides injured warriors with the acclimation time, guidance and resources to successfully make the transition from military service to civilian life.
We vow to be a hand up and not a hand out.
